Yesterday we drove down to Laverstoke Mill which is now the Bombay Sapphire Distillery. We had watched a Megafactories documentary on the restoration of the mill and loved getting to see it and to learn about making the gin. Everyone did really well, especially Craig whose horse decided to do an impromptu canter but he managed to hold ...

This afternoon I went to the Birmingham Christmas markets with Angus, Becka, Suzannah and Alistair. On arrival we got a cup of mulled wine and a German sausage. This German sausage was 1/2 a metre long and it was delicious! With warm food in our tums we ventured off around the markets. There were so many stalls selling cool stuff. The others got a couple of presents, but I'd already done my ...

... They took us up to the Mound (which had glorious views) then down the other side to outside the gates we had just walked through! Back through the gates and found the way to the ramparts - step stairways - room for 1 (only 1 way) and 530 steps in all we were told. I girded my loins and hoped the heights would be manageable and I wouldn't get too puffed. It was fine. We gazed over the walls and through arrow holes, there were several towers that we scaled so the ...
