From boats to the Bullring
... which went down rather well.
After breakfast we walked over to the marina to help breakfast go down and then carried on to Birmingham, our usual car park at the bullring was full so we ended up in one a bit further round, it was quite 70's with small spaces and bad lighting, but at £4 for the day not bad as long as you can find it again.

Day 12
... kind of sound and would later play a few songs with Mumford. Next was Piff the Magic Dragon. A comedian/magician, with a moonwalking dog and a pretty decent act. Then Mumford in typical Mumford style turned the Arena into modern day hoedown. The sounded absolutely amazing something the said they feared would be lost in such a big venue Around 15,000 capacity. Wonderful Waxwings
... and widespread here but at other times they are scarce and elusive.
They come from the north and east to feast on our berries and escape the worst of the weather in their breeding areas. Final thoughts
... with the [3months pregnant] hotel receptionist - we're not sure quite why but time will tell! (No photos of all the waiters who served me (Phil) so well. Didn't want to encourage them in case their intentions were less than honest......)

Hail to the Bunting
... for hours because he had seen plenty. Dozens of skuas, mainly Bonxies but with good numbers of Arctics and a few Pomarines as well. Even more interesting were the dozen or so Little Auks that he had noted (we’d seen our very first Little Auk earlier in the month from this same location).
