... we decided to get some Maryland crabs which are probably the state dish due to their popularity. Will picked us up in his car to collect the crabs. However the journey was prolonged due to flooding on the roads. Just one day of heavy rain appears to be extreme weather here which is rather odd. We eventually found the crab shack called craving crabs and picked up our order which was about $20 each for 24 ...

... Yes, I know Will is fine. But it's haunting nonetheless.

You know, though... if I can survive and handle having my precious baby (he will always be my baby) having a seizure in a traffic jam on the most traveled interstate I've ever driven on in the most urban area I've ever driven through... then I can survive and handle just about anything. For our purposes here, we shall say that I moved all those miles away all those years ago because I needed to experience something totally different. I needed, and wanted, to shake up my schema; it begged to be torn apart and reassembled with all new ...

... to come pouring into my life, washing away the crust of my earthly baggage, and leaving me as metaphorically naked as Noah when he first stepped foot onto the newly grazed earth-soil, still damp and cold. The waters always bring great change.

Therefore it is fitting for the story of my new life to begin with a flood.

I had originally been expecting to spend a long a boring summer break on campus with a possible visit down to Annapolis to see a friend from Minnesota who had moved to the area not to long ago. I didn't really have to money to spend on a plane ticket back home. Lo and behold, my parents and Tamber happened to decide that this was the perfect time to take a vacation out east! So, a couple days into my summer break, they arrived at my doorstep after having ...
