May 31st was my Dad’s birthday, this is the 2nd
one without him and we were all thinking of him on the day. There were emails
back and forth from Mum and Shannon. My lovely cousins were thinking of us,
with Melanie also sending me a nice text. Life has had some big ups and downs
in the last few years and Dad’s passing certainly changed my life ...

I went over to Europe with a few ideas in my head about our backpacking adventure, that we had to eat, sleep, and get around somehow. We ...

... to Scotland with her parents. But still, with such a family trace in Africa, I have never been! I have never really been exposed to African culture, apart from stories from Mum and her family (normally from my fantastic cousins)and the only vague accent I have heard is when Mum gets angry and she bursts into a 'Khali' South African accent!! When my Grandpa (Dad's Father) first set off to Africa, he was about my age. He was a nervous ...

Had really good flights from NZ to Heathrow. Great to get a shower in the Air New Zealand lounge while in transit at LA and great to have the upgrade to premium economy for the second leg. We were feed really well. Kathy slept for quite a bit on the first leg but not so much on the second. Poor John didn't get much sleep on either leg. Thank goodness it was a short flight from London ...
