With time rapidly dwindling I went down to Banbury way this afternoon to visit my brother et famille before I leave, taking the opportunity to say goobye to two young nephews - one of whom was able to appreciate some of the implications of what I am doing, "But what if you get sick?" he asked. :-)

A quick update. Things have moved on, including us. We're pleased to report that a few days ago Brian the van was declared healthy, after some serious re-constructive surgery!

On Monday we left Norfolk and began a series of public transport journeys that would take us from Norwich to London, London to Cheltenham (to visit with friends for a couple of nights) and then Cheltenham to Birmingham to finally pick up our beloved Brian. We ...

The last few weeks have been really manic while we've prepared to put our furniture into storage and get our property ready for letting. Thankfully, most of the hard work is completed and now we can concentrate on getting ready for our travels. It's difficult to believe that we leave in just under a week!

Yummy tapas for lunch, then we headed home for a bit of r&r before heading out for the night with Aunty Sue and ...

... at home! Stocked up on some souvieniers - Josh got a Heineken bottle with his own name on it!

So that ate up a couple of hours, so we just wandered around the shopping district for a little while, grabbed some postcards, beanie hats and a pair of fetching yellow clog shaped slippers for me! Back to the hotel for the bag, then up to Central station for the train back to Schipol - truly getting to and from the airport is just so easy!

The flights back home were busy with it being Friday afternoon and flying home always seems like it takes ages simply because I look forward to being back.

Home now though for the weekend, we start it all off again on Monday as we go to Vilnius.
