The 36-hour road trip

... day. I understood why the weather had been so unpalatable over the week-end: we had missed a massive storm by one day. This came down on Denmark and northern Germany with all its might while I was heading south.

P.S. To the German speaking people: I will keep most of the blog entries descriptions in English since it is the common language between us all.

Reunion of the Class of '89!

A travel blog entry by irajani123

... excited to arrive in Aarhus to see my friends that I had met while studying in Beijing in 1989. Jannie and Pernille are both from Aarhus, and the three of us, along with our dear friends Laurie (from Ottawa) and Bjorn (from Sweden) became good friends. We had dinner at Evald's Cafe next to the canal. After handing us the menu, the friendly waitress ...

... successful afternoon, and a great chance to farewell the children. I also spent some extra time with the children, including an enlightening church experience where we were taught to dance while the children sang. But we were also unexpectedly required to 'preach' to the children about our own beliefs - a pretty scary thing for all of us! I also had a few chances to spend time with my host family, and had a little going-away gathering on my last night with them.
