It was also difficult to walk as many of the floor tiles were actually stone graves of various nobles and knights. Some were even of husband and wife buried together with their figures carved onto the gravestone.

So, can we just say this place is old? You can feel the age and solidity of the place being inside. Knowing that the building is still in everyday use is pretty incredible when you realize it has been there almost 1,000 years! ... and thinly spired church for some outstanding views of the city and surrounds. My stay up the top was fairly short lived though, because unbeknownst to me, the stairs just kind of get hinder and thinner until they just stop, and this makes turning around with a mid sized backpack quite tricky, especially when it has started to rain and other people are coming up the stairs towards you. So thoughts of Copenhagen so far. Everyone rides bikes, folks are not stressed. Lots of good looking folks, Brian says plenty of blondes. The architecture is quite a combinations of original Europe with a bit of new Scandinavian. We think they may have invented the dormers. Every building has them on the top floor.
