Decided to clump together the last few days as not really got much to tell woke up in hospital after a terrible nights sleep and the doctor came around and said that I could go home but had to wait until I had been in there for 24 hours so Ian came and got me and we got a taxi back to the room which cost 74 pounds the ripping off monster. But hoping can keep the reciepts and claim it back when we speak to ...
Rovinj, Istria, Croatia traceybelle... me and what where the acoustics like. He told me to come up and see him so I was on my way up when I thought it would be funny to pretend I was a gladiator on a horse and started trotting into the arena next minute my leg went something pulled in my calf I know now that it was only a pulled muscle but I was in agony and Ian was laughing thinking my horse had gone lame.

... tram in the city will take you uphill to the Trieste plateau ("Altipiano triestino"). Be sure not to miss a walk through the Napoleonica, a panoramic pedestrian route loved by locals of all ages; the Grotta Gigante (Giant Cave), the world's largest tourist cave in the world, and, last but not least, an easy lunch in an osmiza, each one open only several days per year. Be sure to keep your eyes wide open and look for a branch of ivy and a wooden ...
Trieste, Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Italy kapretta... invest in the <istrian economz there.
Dropped the car in Opatija, which sounds like a wonderful seaside resort in the books but looked big and noisz to us. Very glad our sobe (room to rent) was just outside in Volosko, there was a bus stop across the waz and stairs down to the water, you can walk 12 km to Lungomare, look at all the Adriatic version of Newport villas. And we had brodet! At night in a Volosko street, with a cat asking for ...
SUCH a quaint nice town. Theres a nice cathedral and these beauitful rocks that go right along the beach where you can lay out on..and today we took an all day boat trip around all of the surrounding islands of the coast. We worked out a ''special'' drop off inbetween the two trips on the most beautiful island called the Red Island. the sun is finally shining and shining strong ...
Rovinj, Istria, Croatia rampantredhead... cave to be open for public, a large project was initiated. With certain amount of financial aid for the realization of the project and with significant own investment, the cave was cleaned up, and its trails and lighting were tended to. It is worth visiting.
The temperature in the cave is between 13 and 14 degrees throughout the whole year and you might even catch a glance of a bat or a small “albino” crab.
... Anyway, being around these relatives without my immediate family made me a little sad and missing them...but really I have not been completely homesick one bit!! Which I am thoroughly impressed with myself because I am already almost 2 months into my stay, and its been great!! When I was in France, I am pretty sure I wanted to go home by week 1!! Anyway, I do have some exciting news that helps if I ever get sad...is that Mum and Dad are coming over ...
Trieste, Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Italy ilovetheworldSorry, too dark for any good pictures, but here are a few attempts. This place is HUGE, with awesome, massive caverns that blow your mind, very impressive and interesting. The remains of the original internal stairs are visible in many spots, built by the original explorers ...
Skocjan, Divača, Slovenia stevelegassick... and I joined Mauro at his favorite restaurant and ordered a typical Croatian lunch. Grilled vegetable, grilled fish, calamari and of course beer. We watched a class of young sailors practicing in the bay right in next to our table. He told us many Italians come to Croatia for the food.
