Dropped the car in Opatija, which sounds like a wonderful seaside resort in the books but looked big and noisz to us. Very glad our sobe (room to rent) was just outside in Volosko, there was a bus stop across the waz and stairs down to the water, you can walk 12 km to Lungomare, look at all the Adriatic version of Newport villas. SUCH a quaint nice town. Theres a nice cathedral and these beauitful rocks that go right along the beach where you can lay out on..and today we took an all day boat trip around all of the surrounding islands of the coast. We worked out a ''special'' drop off inbetween the two trips on the most beautiful island called the Red Island. the sun is finally shining and shining strong ...

... cave to be open for public, a large project was initiated. With certain amount of financial aid for the realization of the project and with significant own investment, the cave was cleaned up, and its trails and lighting were tended to. It is worth visiting.

The temperature in the cave is between 13 and 14 degrees throughout the whole year and you might even catch a glance of a bat or a small “albino” crab.

... Anyway, being around these relatives without my immediate family made me a little sad and missing them...but really I have not been completely homesick one bit!! Which I am thoroughly impressed with myself because I am already almost 2 months into my stay, and its been great!! When I was in France, I am pretty sure I wanted to go home by week 1!! Anyway, I do have some exciting news that helps if I ever get sad...is that Mum and Dad are coming over ...
