      ... It made for a nice dessert. We crossed the street to grab some groceries for our long train ride tomorrow night. I got lots of fruits since I don't know if I will have access to them at all during the 6 night ride. I'm feeling pretty anxious about the trip since I don't really know what to expect. I am optimistic about it though and think am hoping that it will be fun.

      ... already mentioned, the Local Authority had erected a number of metal sculptured trees where couples can affix their padlock and throw the key over the side in to the canal thus cementing a true bond forever more. There are half a dozen trees spread out over an equal distance in the centre of the bridge as well as a further dozen trees stretching down parallel to the canal. Each tree is covered with hundreds of padlocks.

      ... the plane to board awaiting buses. We were greeted by stern faced Russian security and a crazy taxi driver. Two hours, eight cigarettes and three near misses later our taxi driver finally found Godzillas Hostel. To our great relief we heard the first English spoken since leaving British soil at the reception. We checked in, received a local map and settled down in room 11 having been travelling for 12 hours.

      ... there is an outdoor park with tanks, planes, and ships captured during World War II. If you are short on money and have to decide between seeing the museum or the outdoor armory, go to the armory. I have been to a lot of military parks and museums, but this outdoor armory takes the cake. There had to be at least 60 captured tanks, 75 captured airplanes, 3 massive railroad guns, and a few destroyers from the Russian ...
