Day 1: Filled with excitement, fear and a boots meal deal we stood in the queue at Moscow airport border control. The people behind the desk had expressions of stone, if they had asked me anything in Russian I could have only said 'hello' in reply, Ben - a mere thumbs up. Our plans were to head off towards St Petersburg after the Kremlin tour but as we got ready to go, the pain in my lower abdomen that I had experienced for a couple of hours the previous evening returned.
