Day 3 at the orphanage

... with them the next day. I had a heavy heart thinking and wondering what their day would be like without visitors. :(

In the afternoon we did some local sightseeing which include a trip to the "beach" (actually a concrete park with sand in the middle of town) and a trip to the mountain where we had great views of the city.

... really enjoyed looking through her file as it contained every letter and all of the more recent photos that we have been sending to the orphanage ever year on the anniversary of Amity's adoption day. We spoke with the director for quite a while and asked lots of questions. We learned that there were approx. 270 kids back in the orphanage when Amity was there. ... that I look back on fondly and remember just feeling very good about. They were the classes that kept me going, even when I felt homesick, because I felt supported by the girls in the class and supported by the notion that, in a strange way, they looked up to me.
So I apologise for the lack of funny stories in this entry but I simply don't have any to tell about class 470. They were simply the class that kept my morale and confidence going when I felt like I just wanted to go home.

Unfortunately for my Tuesdays, Class 459 happened to be of the same ilk as Class 455.
