Although we had some food in, we decided to go to a burger joint we saw on the way home: Five Guys Burgers And Fries. It was okay, but not the best. Last night on the road was in Las Vegas--yeesh, what a contrast with rural, cool, Oregon, but I loved my La Quinta motel room, with its soft bed and HD TV, and had a nice last morning on the road watching 2nd week Wimbledon. ... the poor Suzuki rider. One of them chimed in “I have a puncture repair kit and an air pump”. FWIW, it wasn’t the Gold Wing rider. We left the five of them to the repairs and headed on.

Coming into Oregon we began to notice that the mountains were in a haze. The skies would be hazy all day but we never smelled smoke.

We continued our journey, into Enterprise, then on towards La Grande. We had to put our tires on ...
