    ... 15 metres the red part of the visible light from the surface being absorbed by the water, this causes some of the corals to look slightly blue when diving and the red colours to look less vivid (but it still looks pretty impressive when diving!).     ... But at least they broke on an island where shoes aren't a necessity. Our first full day we were up bright and early and on the beach soaking up the sun, reading and generally doing what you do on an island - not very much.
