... Again, just to test we can do it at depth. We go to 15.4m and the visibility is about 20m so we see loads of different fish. The best being the massive black spotted porcupine fish and school of hundreds of yellow tail barracuda. Even better because we could take our GoPro with us so we managed to get some good pictures too. After lunch we did our final exam of 50 questions and all of us passed. It's designed for 10 year olds so we can't feel too clever. We are given ...

Lee Scratch Ferry - (Mon)soon come

A travel blog entry by planetgeli on Sep 30, 2014

... stay on the boat rather than risk the slippery steps laden with rucksacks. A health and safety message that lasted all of 3 minutes before the port authorities got bored and ushered us all off regardless of the torrent coming down from the skies. ... more than enough by now. Overall the train is something we can say we have done but its nothing overly special in its own right, not taking away some of the amazing views but I think it may be we are just so familiar with the way people live it may not stand out as different so much to us anymore? We arrive in Wakaf Bharu which was the closest stop to Kota Bharu and home for 2 nights. After seeing some of the other 'stations' we had gone through we were relieved ...

    Discover scuba diving

... such as removing the reg, sharing oxygen, and then my nightmare half filling and clearing a mask. I manage it but only with a lot of flapping panic and poor Pan having to calm me down. I cannot remember if I resurfaced post mask but I wouldn't be surprised. After the skills we head into deeper water and I'm sure I admired the fish but honestly all I kept thinking of was the reg, often holding the bloody thing! Breathing always was ...
