... Poley Mountain Ski Resort, where I intended to stop. I back tracked to check it out. I discovered that the mountain has a new chairlift. It has been here a while but it has been over a decade since I was here last.

Time to eat. Poured 500ml of water in the stove and fired it up. As expected less than 2 minutes later it was boiling. I ate the Chicken Tariaki Rice. I enjoyed the break.

... this fellow has a number of petrol stations out here and, on a few of them, he has opened up Burger Kings.  It seems that they are being poorly run and are losing money and he has hired Monica to figure out what is going wrong.  That is what she is doing right now in this sleepy little town of Sussex New Brunswick centrally located about an hour away from Fredericton, Moncton and St. John. ... time gets near, there's less and less to do. Everything's been looked after. I've even managed to book a boat cruise on the River Seine. Hey, it's Paris! You've just got to do it. The best thing was that booking in advance entitled you to a nice discount, plus the flexibility to use your tickets whenever is convenient within a year after booking. There is no cell phone reception in Canada for American phones. The best I can hope for is WiFi and it leaves a lot to be desired. The country is beautiful but the roads are terrible. Even the "interstate' is really rough. So far everyone has been really friendly, they take Visa in most places and American money.

... but turned out to be mud, and scraped the hell out of my foot on some barnacles. Ouch! For dinner, I settled on some seafood chowder that turned out to be more like stew. The high tide was just after 11PM, so I made a point of it to get back to the fishing dock and see the difference. When I got there, the place was very busy and all the boats were floating again.
