I am in awe of the power of the sea to move this much water in a short period of time--and to do it twice a day!! ... country.  We had a lovely dinner at a Bavarian restaurant called Gasthof - sourbraten and roast pork with dumplings and potatoes and apple strudel.  It was Monica's mother's birthday so we toasted her with Erdinger draughts.  We knew she would be smiling as we drank a 'bitter' for her.
