... cooler it got until the point we was almost cold! (Shock horror). Finally after almost 2 hours we made it to Mount Batur. A great view out to the volcano (although there was a little cloud covering the top of it ) and also just along from Mount Batur is another larger Volcano although it wasn't as clearly visible. ... because it's so busy and we sadly saw a kitten get run over by a moped causing the driver to fall off. The cat did run off with a high pitched shriek, but I'm not sure it would have survived. The lady on the bike was thankfully unscaved. The streets were also lined with people selling drugs, massages and happy endings! They don't do it discretely either and grab you to get your attention. ... raced up to them, sometimes jumping on them to get a banana! Sometimes they stole the whole bunch! I even saw one reach into a mans pocket incase he was hiding bananas, and then one jumped on Pete's leg! He soon buttoned his pocket! The monkeys weren't stupid! When leaving Ubud our taxi driver told us (true or not I don't know!) that some people trained the monkey to steal things like sunglasses that they could sell, and when the monkey brought it to them ...
