... in Indonesia and for it to be home cooked made it that bit more special. We said our goodbyes and left back for Ubud. Along the way we stopped to buy some local strawberries which were very sweet and then stopped at a place that produced luwack coffee. A luwack is a an animal that looks a bit like a big ferret or a mongoose. They are rare and they have a taste for coffee, well not so much the coffee bean as the skin and fruit around the bean. We have no real plans the next day, other than to sort out a one-way transfer north to Ubud where we’ll be heading tomorrow. We manage to get this done fairly easily, then spend the rest of the day exploring Seminyak. We head down to the beach, which is great for surfers given the huge breaks right on the shore, but terrible for anyone else, particularly given the grey and overcast sky ...

... than me! The rest of the day was spent relaxing. We walked around the “town” in about 10minutes just to say we did; nothing exciting to report about that.

The next day we did a few dives. The first one was a sunrise dive on the United States WWII cargo ship called the Liberty. It was torpedoed by a Japanese submarine as it traveled between Lombok and Bali. They ran it aground to save the contents. It stayed on the beach until 1963 ...
