    Great Spot, Scary Practices

    from

It is true that this hotel is great for its location and options. But be weary of recent hotel staff. I had requested a room several months back for its view and location. After several comfirmations of its reservation, I arrived to find that they had given it away and put me in a bad location. They did finally come through with a decent accomodation. But only after going to the top and after having the blame be put all on my shoulders, before they discovered they had given it away. I also witnessed several individuals having trouble with the staff charging them for extra stays in their hotel. It hurt our vacation time because we had to spend time fighting for our original room.

    Right on the beach!

    from

We stayed at the Surftides this spring and we found it very nice. We stayed on the first floor, so the beach was right outside our patio door.

    We would stay here again.

    Romantic

    from

My wife and I have been going to the Surftides for over 20 years. We love it! Close to the Casino, right on the beach and the best restaurant in town right next door! Pick bottom to be on the beach or upper floors views are excellent looking out into the ocean. Swimming pool and spa, lots for a family or just a couple for a romantic weekend.

This hotel has been the greatest out of all I've stayed in! The view was magnificent, the pool and hot tub was great and the food was delicious. The staff was very helpful and generous. I definately recommend this experience to everyone. You won't regret it!

Surftides Beach Resort!! What can I say not much ,Surftides speaks for itself. We have been going to Surftides Beach Resort for many years and each visit is even better than the last. Service is "Great", staff very friendly and polite. So if you want a memorable stay at the "Coast" Give Surftides Beach Resort a call.

    What a view

    from

we have been staying here for years, our family too,the 1st floor is the way to go,it's like you're right in the ocean.GREAT BEACH ACCESS.AWESOME FOOD AT KEY WEST RESTAURANT!

    Awesome family weekend getaway

    from

Perfect for a family getaway with easy and low beach access! The view is awesome!!. So relaxing.

    The perfect honeymoon getaway!

    from

We stayed in one of the in-room jacuzzi suites on our honeymoon in 1994 and returned to the same room in summer of 2002. We loved it both times and the only changes that were made were made for the better. The staff is warm and friendly and the room was as wonderful as we remembered it to be. The facilities are kept very clean and the room service was excellent. We plan to return once a year from now on!

    Great and relaxing

    from

My family have stayed at this hotel for years. But their recent renovation makes the place even better. The location and the beach access is unbeatable on the coast. For my elderly parents or my little kids, the access is safe and short from the room. The hotel is also situated on a large piece of property so you don't feel cramped in with a bunch of parking lots or other hotels. Some of the units have kitchenettes so you can cook your own breakfast and lunch and go to the on-site restaurant for dinner. It's close to the main grocery store for added convenience. We recommend it highly!

... visit to the Western Antique Airplane & Automobile Museum while we were staying in The Dalles, but while I was getting the motorcycle serviced, I noticed a flyer on the wall in the shop for a car show & swap meet event at WAAAM for today. They lowered the ticket prices to $10, and you got to see the entire museum, plus whatever cars people brought to the event. Such a deal! So we moved our next stop closer to Newport, ...

Last time I wrote we were in Oklahoma City and moving on West. Out of Oklahoma into the panhandle of Texas, drove through the stunning Grand Canyon-like Palo Duro Canyon, endured several hundred miles of barren, sandy scrub and stayed in Roswell, New Mexico, one of the favorite landing places for Aliens. We spent most of our time for several days on Interstate 40 which follows the exact route of the famous Route 66 - the first highway to connect Chicago ...

Weather: Finally sunny, some sea fog because of the sea spray. 17C We woke to the pounding surf and sunshine! We walked along the beach in the park for awhile, our first walk along a Pacific coast beach. The surf from the storm was wonderful. We decided that the sun was going to burn off any lingering sea fog so we headed up the road in the car to the Cape Lookout trail ...

We decided to travel south from Lincoln City down the coast of Oregon. Along the way, we stopped to search for whales and also saw some harbor seals sunning and playing. We climbed the tallest lighthouse on the Oregon coast, saw the shortest lighthouse on the coast, and also visited the only ...

... guy with a huge ego.

We had a nice walk on a beach and I saw a starfish and a dollar shell for the first time in my life. Surfing seems to be a popular pastime even in autumn. I felt cold just by looking at those guys but thought that it should be amazing to be able to ride the waves.

We drove down to Tillamook and visited the famous cheese factory. It was interesting to see how cheese is made and packed. I didn’t think so many people are involved in ...
