    Great Spot, Scary Practices

    from

It is true that this hotel is great for its location and options. But be weary of recent hotel staff. I had requested a room several months back for its view and location. After several comfirmations of its reservation, I arrived to find that they had given it away and put me in a bad location. They did finally come through with a decent accomodation. But only after going to the top and after having the blame be put all on my shoulders, before they discovered they had given it away. I also witnessed several individuals having trouble with the staff charging them for extra stays in their hotel. It hurt our vacation time because we had to spend time fighting for our original room.

    Right on the beach!

    from

We stayed at the Surftides this spring and we found it very nice. We stayed on the first floor, so the beach was right outside our patio door.

    We would stay here again.

    Romantic

    from

My wife and I have been going to the Surftides for over 20 years. We love it! Close to the Casino, right on the beach and the best restaurant in town right next door! Pick bottom to be on the beach or upper floors views are excellent looking out into the ocean. Swimming pool and spa, lots for a family or just a couple for a romantic weekend.

    Beautiful

This hotel has been the greatest out of all I've stayed in! The view was magnificent, the pool and hot tub was great and the food was delicious. The staff was very helpful and generous. I definately recommend this experience to everyone. You won't regret it!

    from

Surftides Beach Resort!! What can I say not much ,Surftides speaks for itself. We have been going to Surftides Beach Resort for many years and each visit is even better than the last. Service is "Great", staff very friendly and polite. So if you want a memorable stay at the "Coast" Give Surftides Beach Resort a call.

    What a view

    from

we have been staying here for years, our family too,the 1st floor is the way to go,it's like you're right in the ocean.GREAT BEACH ACCESS.AWESOME FOOD AT KEY WEST RESTAURANT!

    Awesome family weekend getaway

    from

Perfect for a family getaway with easy and low beach access! The view is awesome!!. So relaxing.

    The perfect honeymoon getaway!

    from

We stayed in one of the in-room jacuzzi suites on our honeymoon in 1994 and returned to the same room in summer of 2002. We loved it both times and the only changes that were made were made for the better. The staff is warm and friendly and the room was as wonderful as we remembered it to be. The facilities are kept very clean and the room service was excellent. We plan to return once a year from now on!

    Great and relaxing

    from

My family have stayed at this hotel for years. But their recent renovation makes the place even better. The location and the beach access is unbeatable on the coast. For my elderly parents or my little kids, the access is safe and short from the room. The hotel is also situated on a large piece of property so you don't feel cramped in with a bunch of parking lots or other hotels. Some of the units have kitchenettes so you can cook your own breakfast and lunch and go to the on-site restaurant for dinner. It's close to the main grocery store for added convenience. We recommend it highly!

Did a walk on the beach (3 miles approx.) the other day and got some exciting photos. It was a little foggy along the big rocks at the end of the beach, but lifted by the time we reached them. This is a ...

So where to start.,, What a beautiful day. I think Shane said we did about 310 miles today so a light day today. FINALLY started touring. Honestly don't remember what time we left the hotel I think about 8am. Our first stop in Washington was Mt St Helens. All I can say is wow! Beautiful ride to the Johnston Ridge Observatory to view the volcano. We watched a cinemovie there that was very interesting, the area around the ...

... sun at a sidewalk table. As the dinner hour rolled around, we changed locations and headed to the historic bay front district of Newport. We sample Rogue Brewery beers and then had an amazing seafood dinner at Local Ocean thanks to a strong recommendation from Britt and Chris. We sat at the chef's counter and watched the kitchen staff whip up orders as the sun set behind the fishing boats lining the docks in the bay. Yes, another successful coastal day in the ...

... quite unseasonable. Once in a while the wind comes up and you instantly know you are not in the southern climes! Only a couple of hundred miles from home now so will end the trip in the next few days. It has been a wonderful trip. Assuming the last few miles will be without incident the truck and trailer have performed well with only minor hiccups. Duke has stayed loyal, probably has something to do with regular meals and exercise (ball or ...

... in, obscuring the tops of the mountains like a fuzzy white blanket, but not quite touching the ground.... very weird... nothing like our fogs at home. We had a cool and breezy day to travel a bit further north to Cape Lookout State Park. Couldn't resist a trip to the Tillamook Cheese Factory, more cheese (free samples!), and a healthy serving of their delicious ice ...
