Cane Garden Bay, Virgin Islands British jhtradeway... sailed up to Canada and back from the Caribbean. The real highlight though was meeting up with Justin's family and friends (Rhys and Adrienne) and taking them out on Grace with us. It was a pleasure for someone else to be willing to hoist sails and drop anchors for a change! Lulu stole the show by being the hostess with the most-ess while everyone was on board Grace, not to mention settling in right at home at Justin's Uncle's villa ...
Tortola, Virgin Islands British fiona_justin... I also watched for a while a movie at "Movies Under the Stars Outdoor Theater" which was then followed by simply sitting on my room's balcony and enjoying the activities just below me on land.

In the evening, Mi and I browsed through the ship's boutiques, buying last minute souvenirs. We also enjoyed going over all the wonderful pictures displayed at the "Gallery" in the hallway which were taken by the ship's photographers during ...
St. Thomas, Virgin Islands US momentsintime... mouth dropping! I have never seen a beach like this before. These big huge boulders, some the sizes of houses were bordering the beach. It was absolutely extraordinary beautiful!

The waves of the sea were quite high as they were being smashed along the boulders by the force of nature. Mi just couldn't resist it. Off he went, jumped right in the middle of the beach, started swimming and being pushed ashore by these waves whereas me ...
Tortola, Virgin Islands British momentsintime... also shops at Paradise Point and a variety of tropical parrots to talk to. Mi tried desperately to teach one parrot some words without any success. A complimentary drink was serve which was delicious. We took the time to enjoy ourselves before boarding again the skyride for our ride down the mountain.

We then proceeded in boarding the safari bus for our way back to the ship. Altogether ...
St. Thomas, Virgin Islands US momentsintime... as our reward. We visited various other islands nearby as well such as Peter Island, Norman Island (for snorkeling, swimming and lunch at Pirates Restaurant), Jost Van Dyke (Foxxy's is great at night for partying, best food I had my entire trip and live music), Green Cay and Sandy Cay for shelling, snorkeling and sunbathing. Our sail was the best way to kick off what would be the best trip we've taken to the Caribbean yet. Our main trip was about to begin when we docked at ...
Tortola, Virgin Islands British bvisailorImagine a cab driver, no, the only cab driver on the island. And he hasn't got a phone that works. And you are on an isolated desert island, and have to get off the island. Answer?Basically, you wait until he swings by on the offchance. Thats exactly what we had to do to escape Jost Van Dyke, watching the clock tick down on the last ferry of the day. To take the edge off the wait, we tucked into a fridge full of beer and sat on the ...
Tortola, Virgin Islands British chrisandtess... back out to sea for the evening. In the morning we did a double check with the remaining boats who all said, thank you, but they thought they would be OK. Two of these boats didn't get in until three days later. We got in the morning of the Awards Dinner and thoroughly enjoyed the meal and company of other 1500 travelers. We have gotten to know the haircut guy - Phil and look forward to meeting up with others along our travels. George ...
Roadtown, Tortola, Virgin Islands British questmiller... they took the needed tests and as everything looked ok I was able to return to the ship that was leaving at 1pm. It's a shame because Tortola looked really nice, and we missed the excursion to Virgin Gorda which everybody finds amazing. Well, we have an excuse to return.
Tortola, Virgin Islands British smachim... where Al will connect to the internet and post this latest update. Hope all is well at home and the weather warms up for you. It is magnificent here but since the seas "outside" (the protection of the BVI) are reported to be 8-11 feet through Wednesday night, we are not going out into the Anegada Passage to St. Martin anytime soon. We hope to do a little diving this week and get all of our gear battened down for that passage by early next week. More from St. Martin in a week or two.
