... the little animals. Many of them you can feed for just 2 dollars a feed cup. Most of the animals would walk right up to you and eat our of your hand (no not the carnivores!) The birds, deer, goats, donkey's and those such animals were very friendly. Most of the big cats were hiding from us but the bear and the wolf both made an appearance.

... black battery added later. Both went through the increasingly larger guns up to the "disappearing" guns that pop up from behind the concrete barrier to fire and then drop back down so that ships can't see them. These guns fire 1000-pound shot which has a range of 8 miles.

We had a leisurely day visiting the town of Fairhope. Had lunch on the pier and just enjoyed the scenery. You can see Mobile from the pier and tomorrow will take us to see the USS Alabama. Here are some pictures of the pier area and a castle that a resident built many years ...
