... Gold Coast it is really quiet here. At night you hear the surf and an occasional car.

Each day after breakfast we go for our walk, crossing the road, the foreshore then onto the beach. Some days we head to Surfers which is a near three kilometer walk along the beach. ... here whilst we were there. We had a drink at the opera house outdoor bar on the harbour before boarding a ferry to Manly. Manly is a suburb to the north. It sits on a small strip of land separating the ocean from the harbour. The ferry ride across is a highlight on its own as it gives you great views of the bridge and opera house from the water. It only takes about half an hour so and by then we were ready for our lunch at Hugos which is on the wharf as you arrive in to Manly. It's ...
