Magical moments and a great musical.
Today was another great day to be on holiday. After breakfast we spent a few hours in patchy sunshine fully exploring Port Isaac. Up and down the village's hills, in and out of lane ways, walkways, while taking lots of photos at every viewpoint. We saw it all reading a local guide as we went.

The sun shines and a touring we will go.
... closed for the winter (we are often finding this to be the case now we are in November) but we enjoyed our walk around the small village at the foothill of the castle. Met up'with a local from Mousehole who told us Marazion and Mousehole are the oldest settlements on the southwest coast. They are well preserved living monuments of a history long past.
Stupidly thought we would 'duck over' to St Ives while the sunlight was so good but ...
Venturing further afield.
... later followed by a very demanding uphill return. In the township we visited a church much too big for its location and tried to get a look at The Place - a castle like building now a private residence. Drove alomg to grab a view of a local castle ruin and The Manor - now a grand restaraunt sitting atop a hill oberlookkng the bay.
Cross country to Looe - another sea side village that has outgrown its location. Built at the mouth of a river ...
Rain, rain go away!
... 00 so deciced to head home and come back for a meal another day.
Back home to Port Isaac at about 17.00 after a round trip of about 30 miles ( 50km).
Cheryl cooked chicken casserole, we had a drink and did some internet searches for future plans and tomorrow's activities. Weather forecast is better but not wonderful.
Enjoyed two episodes of Doc Martin on ITV - could work out the filming location of many sceens and will be on the look out for others. ...
