Coffs is cute, but cold at night!

... an hour, giving yourself chronic back pain, just to pick blueberries... I earned $39 on my first day! I'd never pick mango's again but at least I earned good money there! The only saving grace was that I was offered a 'work for accommodation' job here at the hostel, doing the mini bus pick-up for the coach services that run along the east coast. Bad news is that it involves a 'run' at 5am and 10:30pm every day if there are people booked on them! Good news is ...

... We drove along the Coffs Coast to the Waterfall Way to Dorrigo National Park. The drive to the Information Centre was slow, narrow, windy and sometimes one lane. From the Rainforest Centre we walked the sealed 8km trail on the Canopy Walk, Lyrebird Link Track and Wonga Track. This subtropical rainforest includes a Birds boardwalk and Crystal Shower Falls and ...

... took us about 2 hours to drive up, and when we arrived we visited the Big Banana. In Oz they have this weird thing, where quite often you'll drive past an object on the side of the road that's much bigger than usual. In this case, it was a banana! We stopped off, and they had a cafe where we bought and shared a kind of ice lolly frozen banana, covered in chocolate and sprinkles. Oddly good! There was also a good lookout over Coffs Harbour, ...

... was of course the Dolphins, they're so friendly and intelligent you can't help but smile when you're around them. We got a good 20 minutes in the water with a 4 year old dolphin called Jet, and we could stroke and hug him, get kisses on the cheeks, play ball games with him - Terry spun the ball off Jet's nose then we all tried to copy! We also got to use snorkels ...

Met up with friend Sandy for breakfast this morning at 8.30. Yes people, we were up and dressed at this early start, BUT we got lost in the Caravan Park! How embarrassing! This place is so big, we drove up and down streets, but couldn't find the exit! We even resorted to looking at the small map they give you when you arrive, and it looked so easy - how come we can't get out of here!!!? Eventually we did (obviously!) and we had a scrumptious breakfast of eggs, bacon, sausages, ...
