Six of us left for Leshan with hopes of seeing a giant Buddha (measuring 71 metres tall). It was built in AD 713 in the hope that he would calm the rapid river next to the town. Fortunately the river was tamed but some non-believers claim this to be because of the massive amount of rock poured into it while the Buddha was being created.

... Fan breakfast. At 9:00 it begins to rain and we just sit down in the coffee shop and read and write. A nap after 11:00 is just the right thing to do in the rain and being so tired and worn out.
