    On 9/9 we rode the Alpine Express gondola, then the Metro Alpine subterrainian cable to reach the Ice Pavillion, the largest ice grotto in the world. In the grotto there were pathways with many ice sculptures along the way.     This morning we all had a big sleep in until 8am (shock & awe)!! It was about 10am when we drove out over the eastern hills to Stresa, on the western edge of Lake Maggiore.
