... showing definite signs of fall, and lots of pretty lakes. Crossed the Mississippi river at St. Cloud and almost didn't notice it. Not nearly as dramatic as crossing the Missouri a few days ago.

And then about an hour from Duluth I ran smack into a huge wind again. The sky was looming grey overhead and I was sure it ...

Got back home yesterday. I can't even begin to tell what a great adventure it has been. The Mouse performed without missing a beat and everybody got along as we should. The next 45 minutes was spent showing us how hard rock iron mining was done from 1882 until 1962. It is very difficult to describe the working condition in the mine without actually being in a mine. It never occurred to me that you could ...

... and we went off to our hotel for the night. Mary's Version I was glad that this was a shorter ride. As I've said before, I don't know how Greg does it! It was exciting to find Schoolcraft State Park. Greg has told that story about his Mother's family on a number of different occasions. To see an actual place where his ancestor camped! Pretty cool! And as Greg said, it was a lot of fun to see Tammy. I think we figured out that it had been at least 6 years since we'd seen ...
