Hello everybody back home, and everywhere else, Vassily here again.

Today we went from Rolla (pronounced Ro'Lah) in Missouri to Muskogee (Mus-Koh-Gee) in Oklahoma. The distance was supposed to be 318 miles but it was a little bit more due to us taking a slight unexpected detour in the afternoon (wrong turning) which bumped another 12 miles on the route.

I guess summer is officially over, as we left the Midwest this morning, and are fast approaching Texas. We pulled into this park and set up quickly, as the black sky promised a downpour, but within an hour or two the sun shone brightly, and a few hours later, a full moon lit the sky! Wish the outlook for the Detroit Tigers was as bright - but the Lions sure pulled off a nice win tonight!

... standing water all while riding STRAIGHT down the side of a mountain – for miles on end. WOW.

Dad and I made it through and yes, I did drop the bike twice. However, making it through alive and taking care of the machine that was going to get me out of there were my top priorities, not my ego. After we made it out onto an identifiable road, the gravity of the situation sunk in. The ...
