Mindaugas pulled over the car to take a picture of the oil rigs and I sat in the car dumb struck and felt the tears rush to my eyes… But I pulled myself together. I remembered that Mindaugas had a crazy idea for a picture for quite a while but never had a chance to make it a reality. I stepped out of the car smiled and walked up to a gas station… I guess you already saw the picture that was taken at that moment.

... was LONG but I have to say American Airlines kept the food and snacks coming. Cousin Dr. Kathy was called upon on the flight to attend a sickly man but all turned out to be ok for him thankfully. Kathy is an amazing woman! Customs in Dallas was interesting - I was never searched (physically or baggage wise) but it seemd Kathy and Susan were always stopped. The line was long but it went quickly and I was impressed ...
On the Way Home
... area, the parking lots at the businesses were full, lots of activity going on, an old RV park that is normally a ghost town was overflowing with rigs. We were told that they are "suffering" through a 4% unemployment rate. The oilfields are active with pulling units and drilling rigs - a very good sight to see!

... They gave us a list of other campgrounds in the area, as they were the only listing in the campground book. The first one we called had 1 space left, so we took it. We will make reservations for the next two nights. the 3rd night is already reserved and we don't have to worry about any reservations until June 1, as the tour company has done that.
