    ... paying to perhaps avoid Japan Jail. This is one time when I felt not knowing the language kept us from communicating and defending ourselves. But this was just a food experience and we weren't going to let this get in the way of our fun. In general people have been so nice.     ... in the torrential rains and were trying to find a museum to park us in for a few hours. Andre and I finally couldn't take anymore, decided to cut our losses and head back to Tokyo. We asked for our tickets for the bullet train but were refused. We were told that we would have to make our back on our own. We caught a taxi to the nearest train station and were able to figure out how to take 3 commuter trains (over 100 km distance) to get back to Tokyo.

    ... across a batting cage. It was out of place for the area. We both gave it a whirl. 25 balls for 300 yen. I went twice and tuckered myself out. It was pretty fun. I did laundry once I got back to K's. While I was waiting I chatted with a Thai girl named Pang. I wanted to go to the onsen in a hotel nearby before it closed at 12:00 am.     ... look very nice for the few minutes that was clear.
    We checked in at the hotel which is a traditional Japanese hotel with mats and no shoes in the room. It has it's own hot spring in the basement. We went for a nice soak. The hot spring pools are segregated and no clothes are allowed.
    Dinner was traditional Japanese banquet called Kaiseki. It was more of an art display than a meal. Six courses later, we were full. Sake was great. ...

    ... We arrive in Tori, a small fishing touristy village located on an beautiful bay. By now we have gotten hungry and find a restaurant overlooking Suruga Bay with many small rock formations sticking out from the water. After a nice lunch we continue our trip to our destination, the Winery Hill Hotel which is part of a large winery located in the middle of the Izu Peninsula.
