    ... with a cloth cushioning as were the decor. The next carriage must have been first class as it looked more plush than ours. Some of the tour members managed to score those seats.

    We stopped at several stations where the locals had put out stalls selling various local food or handiwork. The train only stayed for 5 to 8 minutes, so that was the only time they had to sell their produce. I ended up buying some vegetable tempura ...

    ... this small peacefull town is situated on a bay that has a lot of small islands in it...the islands are covered by pine trees and the scenery is amazing!!!(thanks to the great weather we had)
    we took the ferry for a round trip since you can walk just to 2 or 3 islands. there where a lot of people on the boat and a lot of them enjoyed feeding the seaguls even more than watching the view...

    Hi Everyone, Man has it been crazy week. I attended the Rotary Kyushu District Conference in Nobeoka, Japan. The schedule hasn't been to hectic even though we leave at 8:00 am and return to our host families between 6 pm and midnight. Mostly its been been a good mix of sightseeing and vocational tours.
