    ... they are used to people and just walk right near you. A treat was seeing 2 of the young ones swimming and playing in the pool, just like little kids. They swim under water and squabble just like human kids. They spend a lot of time grooming each other. We could have stayed all day as they were so entertaining. How do monkeys turn adults into smiling idiots? Took trillions of photos of course. Next stop was the lovely traditional town ...

    ... Mt. Koshi. Traditional Japanese Onsen Hotel. Booked the private Onsen as not enough courage to expose private bits in the public baths. Very relaxing. Even Rod agreed to try it, which is pretty amazing as he usually will not step out of his comfort zone. Then off to dinner with Kerry and Gloria. They have travelled extensively and are really interesting and good company. So a few beers and glasses of sake before hitting bed for a good nights sleep. Damned Sake....headache ...

    Can it get any better? Yes, it can!

    ... of the restaurant.

    Entering the restaurant, I was struck by how refined and elegant it was but not in an ostentatious way. It was not busy and I was led to a table by the window. When I sat down, I was awestruck, the view was astounding. I've not been to winery restaurants in Napa Valley or the Okanagan so I can't compare but this one looked out onto the rice fields and villages below, into the valley beyond and then out at the mountains topped ...
