... vent. This is also our first winter trip, never having experienced freezing temperatures. 15 degrees this morning! We awakened to frozen water hose but within an hour Larry had it thawed and we were on the road by 9:30 a.m. We are heading to Mammoth Cave National Park, the first of six National Parks that we plan to visit on this trip. As usual, we were up at the crack of our dawn (7:30), got ready for the day's travels and headed 100 feet to the Cracker Barrel for breakfast. Not really sure how it happened, but once again, we didn't start down the highway until 11 am. Good intentions.......

It was a busy travel day through cities, rather than countryside, as we rounded the tip of Lake Michigan. We had difficulty finding diesel ...

... started to look for our campsite. As it turned out it was old info from the internet and the village and campsite did not exist anymore. Wal-Mart here we come and it was a very good parking spot with a lovely view of cornfields and green hills.

Since the start of our travels we have now covered 3665 ...
