    ... rush era! (One was called Black Hawk). The scenery slowly began to change from white snow to green to red rock. Just before reaching Glenwood Springs we drove through Glenwood Canyon and experienced more dramatic scenery this time of a different kind. The colorado river has carved a huge scar in the Colorado earth with sheer, rugged, red rock cliffs towering above the road, every bend had us gasping and reaching for the camera. Such a brilliant drive.
