... we kept a keen eye on the outcome of the Kings/Blackhawks game because the winner went to the Stanley Cup. ... through the line for an hour all the while trying to contact United via the phone or the website. Eventually we received and E-Mail announcing we had been re-booked... for 3 days from now... that was not going to fly.
I contacted my credit card company to check if I had any flight insurance and thank goodness, I did. They said they would pay for a hotel room and a rental car or anything else I needed up to $500. Fantastic. I called Enterprise and booked ...

... the lock which had been put in place to stop the sewage getting into Lake Michigan (hmmm not nice really) and to stop too much of Lake Michigan flowing down Chicago River. It was also here that the guide told us that around 1900 they reversed the flow of the river by lowering the water level at the other end of the Chicago River.

... these towns are people wanting to see for themselves what it was like in the heyday of Route 66.

When the road was being built the various States argued over the Route number, it almost wasn't called Route 66 it was originally going to be called 60 and then 62 until the engineer finally picked 66 because he liked the numbers. Mike figured he was probably a Bingo caller before becoming an engineer.
