Letting go...seriously...let go

A travel blog entry by wanderfuluster on Jan 25, 2014

Turns out letting go of what has become commonplace is much harder than I originally thought. Why do we get to these points in life where we feel 'trapped', but really we aren't at all? As a nurse especially, we somehow have it ingrained that if we leave a job, we are letting bosses down and ultimately our patients considering our current shortage and impending healthcare doom. A cab finally pulls over and I approach it to get in.  The driver is trying to tell me something but I can't quite understand him or why he won't unlock the door. Next thing the back door opens and a man gets out.  Oh shame, maybe I should wait for that passenger to get out before I try to clamber in!!  Damn tinted windows! I apologise profusely and the driver chuckles at my expense.  The passenger did not seem impressed. Oh well. Off to Navy Pier.  I can ...

... the chances of it being handed in were pretty slim.

The lady returned and said, "Yes, we have it." I nearly **** myself with excitement. I couldn't believe it. She confirmed both of my cameras were still inside the pack also. It is great to see there are still some honest people left in this world and I only wish I had the opportunity to reward the good bugger who had managed to get a smile back on my dial. Big ups to you whoever you are - you are a ...
