Goodbyes, Goodbyes, Goodbyes.

... never want the fear of goodbyes to keep me from forming relationships with people because its all about the experience. Anyways, I believe that if someone is meant to be in my life, they will continue to be, no matter how far apart we are. As I told Daniela yesterday, there is nothing in the world that you HAVE to do, and there are very few things that you cant do, so just take each day as it comes and do what makes you happy. No goodbye has to be forever.

We made a quick stop at Clive and actually found my oldest brother Bob at home. We had a nice visit but we were under a time crunch as we were supposed to meet my friend Julie in Rimbey. Well, ...

Cathie and Denny generously drove me to my mother's home in Rimbey. On the road, we stopped at Gull Lake, AB to visit the old Fernie land. My grandfather, George Fernie met his wife at the water well beside what became the Fernie store. Around 1947, my father Ernest Fernie met my mother, Kay Danser at that same water well at Aspen beach in Gull Lake. Today was the first time I had heard either of these stories. It is fascinating how the tales unfold.

Stampede fever!!!!

I love going to the rodeo and seeing all the magnificent animals. And, some of them wear tight blue jeans. But, I digress.

I got to watch the rodeo on two days. There were bucking broncs (bareback and saddle), bull riding, calf roping, steer wrestling, wild horse races, barrel racing, etc. The rodeo is really my favourite part of the stampede, but the chuck wagon races are the most exciting as the ...
