    The LA leg of our journey was a layover really. Having been to LA before and knowing the sheer size of the place with the distinct lack of affordable quality public transport, we decided to opt for an extra day in SF as 24hrs in LA would result in 2 nights of unnecessary hotel/hostel expense and simply isn't enough time to achieve anything worthwhile.

    ... 20 vouchers for food and drink, so to kill the extra time we queued up with pretty much everybody else at Starbucks where we got sandwiches for tomorrow, juice and a large hot chocolate and a large coffee all for 49 cents (we went a bit over budget).
