    ... breakfast). Arr 8:30am dep 11:30am to LA. Had a hot chocolate in the airport. Flight to LAX was ~7hours. So we got 2 meals. Plenty of films to watch on both planes. Neither of us really slept on the planes – too excited! Arr LAX ~3:40pm (local time). Had to put our clocks back 3 hours. SO happy to arrive in LA:) The toilets in LAX were clean and everything was automatic-automatic flush! So luxurious to be able to put paper down the toilet ...

    From Long Beach it’s an hour long trip to Santa Clarita where Magic Mountain is and this Sunday started a bit cloudy and even cold outside. On the way there it even started to rain in a few spots but we’recommitted that today’s the day for Magic Mountain. It’s only open on the weekend days in this low season so it is now or never.

I actually suspect that United were trying to refund our money but the bank wouldn't accept it because of the number change and that we did in fact have a "paid for" ticket and they didn't want the responsibility to find us new flights. In the end we just gave up (to pursue later) and went to Air Canada and bought two new tickets to LA, so again, an airline stuff-up has doubled our flight cost. Only lucky thing ...
