    ... the time in the car. I’ve mentioned naps in the past. These are good and regular for Matt and Izze. Paula sometimes takes a “power nap”. She has a theory that a 15-20 minute nap is better than a 1-2 hour nap. I have only napped once or twice this during our journeys, but I’m definitely in the longer nap category myself.

    ... breeze and the sunshine while some folks are playing volleyball where the tent had been yesterday. I'm going to get some sewing projects done today and we're going to watch movies and/or Ripper Street the rest of the time.

    Today was a much better day…we're on a fairgrounds lot within walking distance of a Casey’s gas station, there was an easy place to leave Fridman’s car and we’re on level, solid ground. That’s enough to make me weep with joy. There’s a small ditch we need to cross to get to the tent, so as long as it doesn’t rain today, we’re golden.     The folks that run this place are super friendly. The husband was bringing in stuff from the garden just as I pulled in, so I was rewarded with some garden fresh cucumbers, green and sweet peppers, and 1/2 dozen fresh eggs from the chickens ranging around the park. It is really quiet here and I am looking forward to a good nights sleep and a ride tomorrow.

    ... really worried about the others and then I realised I have Steve's insulin in the car too, so it was about now I became distressed. I pulled myself together and headed on. I had gone about 30 mile in heavy rain when my radio start and a voice said "Áre you okay Mrs McLister", which nearly made me jump out of the car.

    Apparently the others were still back in Alton riding around in the rain trying to find me and had contacted the car ...
