... the word JAM now and are not using Jelly....) anyway, I was now happy as the proverbial pig and clicking away much to the amusement of the other diners.

It is now 9:47pm Central, and after I've uploaded this blog (and photos) I will be calling it a night. We are now 27 minutes drive away from starting the Route 66 road-trip...... Expecting to "hit the road" at 9am tomorrow, so I will need some beauty sleep before getting my kicks on Route Sixty-Six.........

... from the film, but we couldn't get in!

Having got back to I-55, driving over Route 66 some layers of tarmac beneath, we came off at exit 268 for our Super 8 Motel reservation at Bolingbrook/Romeoville on Illinois 53 - very near Route 66 for the morning. We had a quick freshen-up at around 5pm and then headed to the Cheddar's Restaurant Joanna in reception had recommended. Some beers, burgers and cute three mini deserts for 99c each later, we were back in our room and in bed ...

... elevator ride that no claustrophobic could have ever survived, we entered the 'asylum'. There was every situation imaginable. Horrific torture scenes where patients were chained to tables while the 'surgeons' went to work pulling out their insides. A little room reminiscent of Poltergeist in that we were surrounded by stacks

of TV's all blaring static or creepy recordings of our fearful selves (& were actually forced to retreat ...
