... 8230; different. This is the first place 5 years of cross country trips that we have returned to twice. I could try my best to describe it for you, but I would fail. All I can say is that if you ever find yourself anywhere near this area of the country, follow the river west and prepare for an experience of spiritual proportions.
Continuing the theme of spirituality…. I happened upon a Tibetan Buddhist retreat center deep in the mountains surrounding ...
... and scattering quarters, dimes, 5 cents and cents everywhere. We waited by no-one came back so we started to pick it up. After a while, a couple of other people started picking up coins and we thought we'd leave the rest to them. After that, we called at a bread shop and bought cinnamon bread (the kids' favourite) and went home. When we counted the money later, we had $45! Plenty of quarters for the bus now!
... sunset during dinner and the hummingbirds put on a show for us. We have also been watching a young man learn to windsurf in the evenings. He shows up every night around 6pm. After dinner we made some popcorn and all piled back into the van to go to the Drive In Movie Theater. We watched Despicable Me 2. So funny. It was a beautiful night to sit outside and drink a glass of wine and laugh....a lot.
... was my last day in town, so Cody and I went back to Ramskeller to watch the second semis! I got talking to a guy called Tyler at the bar and it turns out he is about to head to England for a Masters Degree - even smaller world!! The three of us played pool for an hour or so having a laugh - I could have stayed out all night but we had to leave as Bob was coming up from Pueblo with Cody's new Geo!! AND it was 5-a-side soccer night!!! :D
