    ... at the end of he Boardwalk. We saw a couple of gators on our ride as well as an ibis, a blue heron, egrets and a couple of small snakes (one of which was injured). At 3:45 we met the guide and took a 90 minute boat tour of the swamp. I must say - it wasn't what we were expecting.     Drove to Jekyl Island first today. Arrived around 1:30. Drove to the far side of the island to a picnic area and had lunch. We enjoyed a walk along the driftwood beach and took pictures of some of the interesting driftwood specimens. We were on the road again by 3:00 - heading to Waycross, Georgia.     ... look at the Heritage Farm, they have a blacksmith shop, tobacco barn and other buildings and some farm animals.

    Tomorrow we move on to Crawfordville for 3 days and plan to be home on Monday. Our trip is really winding down and we are looking forward getting home.

    ... to bloom. This wildlife refuge has an extensive series of "trails" that are all on the water. Canoe, kayak or motor boat. Definitely NO SWIMMING!

    The trail ends at an old farm. We turned around there and completed our hike back to camp on the paved road. We did nearly five miles and both of us were a bit tired, but in better condition now. Getting back into shape is a slow process, but well worth the effort.
