Hello all! My name is Evan Kurtz and this is my first ever blog post! I am currently in my junior year at the University of Iowa. I am doing a double major in Marketing and Spanish. I began this blog because I will be going to South America soon for my study abroad in Santiago de Chile. I am extremely excited to begin this blog for two reasons:

No pictures, missed the Welcome to Iowa sign. Can't wait to take our road trip off highway..I'm gonna guess that will make for some fine Kodak moments.

With all our travels, we have been using Choice Hotels with their points and "free" nights. Highly recommend, we have not been disappointed. Tonights free night is a suite! Picked up Subway and ate in the room. Decided we have spent entirely too much money on food and don't need any more calories!
So long for now. Next blog should be from home with high speed internet!
... Todd at the Holiday Inn Express. I talked with Homer a couple of times as he gave me info on conditions farther up the road. I have ended my day in Mount Pleasant, Iowa. It is incredibly windy here and they are expecting storms tonight. We will see.
