... Wisconsin, we proudly donned some cheese heads and Sammy got his picture made with the giant farmer holding cheese and a sausage. You'd have to be there to understand. Minnesota has really taken on environmental issues with hundreds of huge windmills. The last stop of the day was dinner in Sioux Falls, SD. We ate at Bob's made famous in the Roadfood book. It was as described. We love it and the owners. Time for bed. On to Mt Rushmore........

We arrive in India at 12:35 a.m. (Delhi time) on the 3rd. I'll write again whenever I get the opportunity Friday. So far I have received some very encouraging comments from friends and family- keep them coming! I feel so loved and blessed as I set off on this adventure. Thanks and stay posted!

... orientation is a slice of heaven- they're keeping us well fed and getting us pumped for everything from visiting monastic caves to shopping in Delhi. Tomorrow is our last full day in Madison, and we leave for Delhi via Frankfurt midday on Wednesday. In the meantime, I'm honestly relishing fresh fruits and vegetables at every meal- these will be totally off-limits to my vulnerable digestive system in India. Crunch, crunch!

Stayed in Madison for 2 weeks while I caught up on doctor appointments. I was reminded why I left as the weather was damp and cold and my body responded with pain. Oh well.

Good Morning, We wanted to write one final page of notes from our trip to the Grand Canyon. We had a wonderful trip and had no problems with the bikes. There were many challenging aspects of our trip, the crossing winds on our return were in the 40 plus MPH range, which made for some very difficult riding.
