    We got up and had a tasteful breakfast of chicken fried steak and eggs at the lodge restaurant, we took a lovely drive along scenic drive towards Grafton. The overlooks look over the Illinois River.

    ... Our last night on the Loop we stayed at the barge dock at Mel's River Dock Diner in Hardin, Il, with Nanseann. Mel's is renowned for their brisket dinners, delicious pies and their huge country breakfast - we had enough to eat to last a week!
