      We will be staying in Sterling, Colorado after driving 127 miles from Denver. We spent $22.42 filling up gas and we ate dinner in the back of our car so we could have a little extra money. We knew that buffalos were wiped out at the end of the nineteenth century, but that this slaughter of tens of millions was accomplished in just seven years from 1871 to 1878, was truly shocking.
