    ... who undertook the thousand mile cattle drives, and turned this town into the "Gomorrah of the Wild West."

    We have moved on from Nebraska, where the few cattle we saw were in small enclosures that lacked a single blade of grass; to Colorado, where larger herds are grazing in open prairie - a happier sight.

    232 miles today. We are in Sterling, and will update you on our progress tomorrow.

    ... for the Rockies. I got to walk under the stadium and see the locker room, training and weight room, and the batting cages. Then we walked up out of the Rockies dugout and onto the field.     Today luckily there was no wind. I was able to make some good progress and get back on track. The ride was a little bland and uneventful but the weather was good and I felt good on the bike.
