It is Autumn now and 50 degrees C this morning- big change from the 80's and 90's in Florida. We were on our way South from Lexington- a 90 minute trip by car for the weekend at the houseboat belonging to Deb and Junior and their 80 ft of luxury on the water.Lake Laurel with its cliff lined shores and quiet coves was our destination .

This place was awesome, and our dinner was great. I ...

Long day of driving - 442 miles, about 7.5 hours.

We stay at this park usually on our way back home. It's comfortable, easy access, and good hookups. It is connected with a company that brings in live country entertainers throughout the year. We keep hoping we will be there when something is scheduled but have missed it so far.

Good nights sleep then on the road ...

... cargo lines pulling borax across the desert in that heat. Any time you feel about complaining about work, stop and think of that job! We made it through the desert, stopping to admire the scenery frequently. We didn't stop anywhere that day for more than 10 minutes as we had a twelve hour journey and had left Vegas a bit later than expected. Passing through Death Valley though to Sierra national park was amazing. Our hwy divided the landscaped almost perfectly. ...
