This is a world class cavern famous for a butterfly crystalline formation but some idiot broke the top part of the wing off.
We left Houston with freshly washed laundry. We needed to get propane since we'd run out and found it on the first gas stop. The drive was uneventful and we happily arrived at the Caverns of Sonora. We camped in our same spot but approached it from a different angle this time. We were hoping to not have to use dolly to get out.

This is by far the best RV park yet! It is 7 miles south of the I10 but talk about getting back to nature! We were feeling a little apprehensive on the way to the park. The reviews were so-so and there was nothing around. However, when we stopped to register there was a herd of deer and a few peacocks running around. The only sound was the wind in the trees. Beautiful!
