Then it was off to Cattlemen's for a T-Bone. No trip to OKC is complete without a visit to this restaurant founded in 1910. The food and service were great!

... restaurants and specifically, the bathrooms, being very clean. But no more. It’s really sort of gross there now. Choosing a different color scheme would help. Layering brown with earth tones does not help. If Mac didn’t love the food, we would never darken their door.

Very few of those miles passed before we crossed another state line, into Oklahoma. This is considered to be the most Route 66-friendly state, with copious signage and lots of attention paid to their remaining sights and attractions. We move from Texas to Oklahoma next. But not before we visit the Cadillac Ranch. This is art work set up by some hippies but funded by a millionaire. The hippies have taken some old Cadillacs and implanted them into the ground. Over the years people have been encouraged to bring paint or spray cans to leave their mark on the cars.
