I’m not here to write a review on either album, (though it would be mostly positive as I am truly enjoying both played over and over in my car). Instead, I want to talk about one song: Taylor Swift's “Welcome to New York.”

It's the opening track to her album and I can’t stop listening to it. It’s a song about ...

It’s a career she has no control over: not over location, duration, content, pay...From now on, her life revolves around what her uniform represents. She will be trained to defend a country, an idea of democracy, and the people who live within it. Her needs will be put behind those of the ‘greater good.’ Whatever that means.

We had clean clothes, now we needed clean bodies. We had been having good luck at finding YMCAs for a good price so we headed to the YMCA in Cranston. It was 10$ each for the day pass but an amazing lady who was working there decided to let us use her guest passes so that we could go in for free. Maybe she smelled us and took pity? The gym was fantastic and we got in a great workout and then nice hot showers. These YMCAs have been so fantastic for ...

Hopefully, I can read this in 25 years and be proud of what I’ve accomplished since this chapter in my life. To my friends and family: thanks for the unprecedented support and get ready for the next ...

... who need it all so badly.

So began my plans to travel to Colombia. When asked what is my main motivation for going my honest answer is a combination of things. I am driven by my desire to help others in need, my desire to see new things, and have amazing experiences with new and old friends from around the world. Today my adventure begins to see the world, have fun and make the world a little bit brighter.
