Sleep: Lake Havasu State Campground (450') - $20.00 - basically a parking lot with a bathroom
We could have gone a more direct way to Lake Havasu but wanted to see the cinder cone crater in Amboy. We have seen lots and lots of volcanos in our travels, including living at the base of an active one in Ecuador, but we always like to see them.
... but it was oh so invigorating!
We decided to take a quick drive into town and get some hotdogs and stuff to make s'mores. Then Dave gathered some dry wood and built a fire in no time by the water. It was the perfect ending to an awesome relaxing day.

... br> There is a ferry that runs between Lake Havasu City on the Arizona side, and Havasu Landing on the California side. At a measly cost of $2 return, it was a great way for us to get out on the water. The only thing on the California side is a Casino on the Chemehuevi Indian Reserve, which explains the cheap ferry ride! We spent about 5 minutes and a whole $1 in the casino on the nickel slots. Big spenders!!

Relationships are interesting. We talked about how *************ships can be and how easy they can be. Not sure why I tend to make them much harder than they need to be. Ah yes, that trust thing again.....dang....It's about being myself and not compromising that. Yes, there are negotiations to be made, but I am who I am and I am learning to be proud of that.
... walk off our big meal so we did some souvenir shopping. The stores were filled with tacky, yet hilarious items. We took tons of pictures. The last shop was at the ice cream shop. We had to get their famous shakes, which were the best we have ever had! Sam and I chose peanut butter/ Oreo and Chris went with chocolate. We could only finish half of the large cups, but it was well worth it! Haha. Our trip tonight has ended at Lake Havasu. The high was supposed to be 114, but ...
