      ... along the queue for an hour, we could see other passengers onboard sitting on their balconies watching the rest of us poor saps. At least we had some nice folks to talk to and everybody was certainly in a good mood.

      We finally got on board and to our stateroom on the 11th floor and it was all worth it. Annette splurged and got us a mini-suite with a balcony positioned kind of aft-ish of midship.

      Weather is a broken record, cloudy with a threat of rain. About an 80% threat of rain this afternoon. So we made plans for the morning.

      ... The Minots commissioned an artist named Rothko who worked with an architect to design a chapel to house a series of monumental size abstract canvasses that he painted for the site. The paintings are massive solid black and maroon colored panels that cover most of the walls. Sitting there staring you can become lost in the sameness or void depicted by these paintings. Great for meditating, but, not for everyone……
