... so went in for fish and chips. When it was served our fish came with crisps!! Peter complained to the manager who of course said chips were crisps in the US but we have been to lots of pubs in America and never once been served crisps, anyway he was very nice and didn't charge us. Gave the children $5 each so there were lots of decisions to be made on the market stalls on what to buy and we eventually got back to the hotel around 10 ...

... homey 'hood indeed!

The RV park has dozens of lemon, orange and grapefruit trees on-site, so we could pick fruit to our hearts content...which we did (four weeks later D was juicing it all so we could take it back across the CA border!)! The proximity to shopping in Indio is great, so we made runs in to Costco, Trader Joe's ...

As you will see in one video "Action on the field" hockey-like checking is a part of the sport although does not happen as often in polo as in hockey.

... the heck we are doing here (although the thought did cross my mind!) I am thankful for the amazing adventures I have had over the past 7 months while on my leave... the beautiful places I have seen, the friends and family I have had the opportunity to visit with/travel with, and the freedom to do, or not do, pretty much what I wanted. I know how fortunate I am and want to thank everyone for coming along for the journey.

... which were perfectly balanced circles, using the wind to move very smoothly & calmly around each other. It was so much more artistic & mesmerising than Hornsby's water feature!
Joshua Tree NP was a combination of desert-like features with cacti, dry grasses, Joshua Trees, large rocky outcrops and massive split rocks on top of each other. We went up Keys View for the immense view on the other side of the mountain to a fairly densely populated desert area which is 'fed' ...
