    ... it was canceled due to torrential downpour. Instead we made fresh ravioli and played Scrabble. Elena is quite a whiz at Scrabble. Saturday morning still brought rain, so Pappy and Elena went to town and saw Jurrassic World at the theater. The afternoon brought sunshine and a beautiful day. We each made a paper boat and had a boat race. Mia's should have been the Titanic as it sunk fairly soon ...

    ... right across the border from Kentucky. We're about 8 hours from home, and decided we are sick of traveling, so tomorrow will be our longest day, a mad dash for home. So this will probably be the last blog entry, unless we see or do something tomorrow worth writing about. We hope you've enjoyed reading about our adventure. Stay tuned for the next one.

    A Nice Stopover

    ... gadgets. About 6:00 I decided to check it and wow - it was done! Instead of the spaghetti we were planning to have we had roast, creamed (chopped) potatoes, left over veggies (cabbage, peas, mushrooms, onion and peppers). It was one of the best meals we've had on this trip. Becuse of the rain we haven't been able to grill so that has changed some of our menus.

    On to bed with a couple of blankets and a good nights ...

    Still driving on Interstate at this point. Plan to start taking some back roads soon. Camping experience at this KOA was decent. Nice private spot with no other tent campers.

    Some highlights:

    -Arrived just before night fall and glad we didn't have to set up in the dark.


    -Cold Night with lots of condensation. So wet out ...
